Come home
to yourself.

Relationship centered, culturally responsive therapy for BIPOC and immigrant folx—exploring how history, identity, and relationships shape your patterns, so you can create lasting, aligned change

You learned to push down your emotions and just make it through long ago

Maybe you've tried talking about your needs, only to have your concerns brushed aside. Attempting to dodge painful memories and putting others first has left you feeling drained. You might have even started distancing yourself from people with the hopes that the more distance you make, the easier it’ll be to live your life authentically.

Some days, you are actually able to convince yourself that things are ok…but…

If you’re being completely honest, the strategies you’ve been using are not bringing the relief you hoped for. And when you add the stress of juggling daily life, family expectations, intergenerational traumas, and complex relationships, it starts to feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders and there’s no relief.

you are at the right place if you’re tired of…

  • Feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck in your relationships, unsure of how to move forward

  • Living Unhappy, unfulfilled, unsettled, with low self-worth, and asking “Is it me?”

  • Feeling overwhelmed by family, cultural, or societal expectations, pulled in multiple directions without a clear path forward.

  • Repeating the same patterns and stuck in your trauma memories, powerless to change

Support that meets life’s complexity.

At Adorn Therapy Services, I help individuals and couples understand what’s driving their patterns—how identity, culture, relationships, and past experiences shape the way they connect, cope, and make decisions. While my work centers the lived experiences of BIPOC and immigrant clients— I work with adults and couples from all backgrounds who value thoughtful, identity-affirming care.

Through real conversations and evidence-based tools, I support you in creating change that’s actually sustainable—so you can move through life and relationships with more confidence, clarity, and self-trust.

Hi, I’m Dr.Tofunmi Oni, founder of Adorn Therapy Services. After years of hearing advice like “just focus on yourself” from well-meaning sources who may not fully grasp the nuanced challenges of self-discovery within deeply rooted family, cultural, and societal expectations—and experiencing the power of my own cultural identities minimized in therapeutic settings—I recognized that the journey toward healing is both complex and unique. The significant effort it takes to ease the stress and pain tied to our experiences, harness our power, while building and maintaining healthy relationships in all parts of our life, requires an approach that truly understands and respects this complexity. We’re here to provide that support.

Healing from past traumas and changing unhelpful patterns in relationships can be tough; no one ever taught us how to do it. That's why having a culturally responsive therapist by your side, someone skilled in their field and experienced in your specific challenges, is crucial. As a virtual practice serving individuals and couples in MD, D.C., VA, OH, and nationwide, Adorn Therapy Services was established to support clients like you who are seeking to deepen insight and under yourself, heal relational wounds, and be re-empowered to change the parts of your life that are causing pain. I specialize in multicultural integrative approaches to help you navigate this complex journey of healing and growth. I am excited to embark on the journey with you.
